Center Pottery is a social enterprise dedicated to conducting special clay classes for the elderly, disabled persons, and patients suffering from mental health conditions or terminal illnesses. Working with prominent psychologists, Center Pottery has designed a holistic therapeutic curriculum that combines the science of modern psychology with clay art.

A signature class is the Mindful Pottery course made for both individuals diagnosed with anxiety and those who are experiencing negative emotions. This four-lesson programme allows participants to improve their mental wellness, relax, and gain mindfulness — all while learning pottery. Different traits are honed in each lesson, such as creativity, concentration, patience, and confidence. The focus, however, lies ultimately in the process that guides participants towards managing their negative emotions in a healthier way. Center Pottery has brought snippets of their courses to Boutiques in the form of mini hands-on ceramics workshops at our fairs, which have engaged many in our community.
