Babes Pregnancy Crisis Support
Babes is committed to providing teen mums with essential support and assistance during and after their pregnancy. Through case management and community integration, Babes offers teen mums the resources to make more informed choices about their pregnancy, eases young mothers back into a life of normalcy, and advocates for a more inclusive society that does not marginalise them. During COVID-19, Babes also provided formula milk and diapers to young mothers from low-income families through their Happy Stork Programme, to help them better cope with the impacts of the pandemic.
At Boutiques, we are proud to have become an important space for raising both awareness and support for Babes’s mission. During our fair, we encourage you to take the opportunity to engage with volunteers to learn more about the organisation’s work, or participate in community-wide fundraising efforts which have aided Babe’s many initiatives. These include shopping from the many vendors who donate a portion of their proceeds towards the organisation, or joining a paid lucky draw for product hampers put together with the collective contributions of our vendors.
To support Babes and the work they do, you may make a donation or volunteer as a befriender if you have parenting knowledge to share and are above the age of 25. Details on methods of donation and other volunteer positions can be found on Babes’s website.
