Personalised Love (PLove)

Personalised Love (PLove) Atelier is a social enterprise founded on the belief that every person with special needs is gifted and should be embraced for their talents as dignified members of society. Working with individuals with various disabilities from Autism Spectrum Disorder to Mild Intellectual Disability, and Cerebral Palsy, PLove is dedicated to helping persons with special needs maximise their full potential by empowering them through artisanal crafts like handmade leather goods and corporate gifts. Their comprehensive training and work integration programme aims to equip youths with special needs with important design and leather crafting skills, which can enable them to forge respectable career pathways upon graduating from Special Education (SPED) schools. 

A key focus of PLove’s mission is also to promote greater social awareness and inclusion towards individuals with special needs. This has motivated meaningful touches like the addition of the Maker’s Story to every piece of work, as well as larger educational programmes that promote interaction with the wider community. For instance, PLove’s artisans with special needs are given the opportunity to facilitate craft workshops for the public — an experience that encourages social integration, while building the confidence and communication skills of individuals with special needs as they impart their knowledge to others.
