Founded in 2002, Boutiques is a twice-yearly shopping event that brings together a curated mix of independent vendors across women’s fashion, menswear, jewellery, bags and accessories, gifts, home decor, and children’s clothes, toys, and accessories.
Boutiques began as Singapore’s first curated shopping event aimed at promoting one-of-a-kind finds and quality, design-led merchandise not found in run-of-the-mill malls. The fair was established and continues to be directed by Charlotte Cain, who has made Singapore her home since moving here in 1989.
As a passionate advocate of small, Singapore-based businesses, Charlotte wanted to create a shopping platform where designers could showcase their collections, directly interface with their customers, and in turn gain valuable feedback about their work. By only featuring a selection of independent, design-led, and socially responsible brands handpicked by Charlotte, Boutiques has become an acclaimed shopping event which enjoys tremendous success with both the expat and local audience.
Today, Boutiques is proud to host over 250 Singapore-based, independent labels across two levels of the centrally-located F1 Pit Building. The Blue, Green, & Rose Rooms on level two showcase an extensive selection of brands from women’s and men’s fashion and accessories; homewares and furniture; art and lifestyle; and children’s goods and fashion. Boutiques Edit on level 3 is dedicated to highlighting even more Singapore fashion and design, while Boutiques Social on level 3 is a F&B-focused lounge area where shoppers can eat, drink, and relax while discovering independent artists and lifestyle-focused brands.
BOUTIQUES FOR CHARITY
Beyond shopping, Boutiques also has a long history of supporting charities and non-profit organisations. We have worked closely with many Singapore-based organisations by providing a complimentary booth space for them to build awareness and reach thousands of potential donors and volunteers.
Organisations we have worked with include: the Humanitarian Organisation of Migration Economics (HOME); BABES Pregnancy Crisis Support; the Netherlands Charity Association (NCA); Ladli; Open Book; The Nail Social, and Cause, Coffee SG.
