ROMI Beauty

“ROMI Beauty is dedicated to creating multitasking essentials that seamlessly fit into the lives of everyday individuals.”

Local line ROMI Beauty was born from the founders' own struggles to find makeup that suited their busy lives and sensitive skin. Arissa Cheo, Yoyo Cao, and Lin Ting, the trio behind the brand, started ROMI as a response to their own problems: having sensitive skin prone to irritation; battling a busy travel schedule with parched skin, and being a busy parent looking for fuss-free products. Together, they developed the Dream Skin Tint, a tinted moisturiser that also provides SPR protection, and later, their Glow Getter Treatment Mask that sold out within 24 hours.

Slowstitch Studio

“Sometimes we need to listen to our inner voice and act on something when we feel the time is right."

Slowstitch Studio was founded from a chance meeting in rural Japan between two like-minded textile designers, Ann Ngamdamronk and Serge Tishkin, who shared a deep respect for handcrafted textiles. Both were studying under the same master craftsman, where they discovered their mutual love for creating patterns on cloth using traditional methods. Their collaboration formally began with experiments in Ann’s Bangkok kitchen, where they used locally harvested natural dyes and handwoven fabrics from remote provinces in Thailand.

Now based in Chiang Mai, Ann and Serge continue to craft one-of-a-kind garments for everyone, accessories, and fabrics that bring together contemporary design and craftsmanship. At The Gifting Edition, shop an exclusive colourway of their best-selling Ripples Reversible Knot Bag, alongside a selection of fashion and accessories for both men and women.

Tatsu Maker Works

“In focusing on celebrating Singapore's hawker culture, I'm looking to keep this vital institution relevant for future generations of Singaporeans.”

Tatsu Maker Works began as a deeply personal project for John Mathis. What began as a therapeutic bonding experience — bringing his daughter Izzy’s imaginary worlds to life through watercolour, coloured pencil, and collage — evolved into a focus on linocut printmaking. When Izzy decided to take a break from their creative endeavours, John found new inspiration in celebrating Singapore’s vibrant hawker culture. Tatsu Maker Works, named after their beloved family dog, Tatsu, is now an apparel and arts brand that showcases Singapore’s UNESCO-recognized hawker culture to a global audience. The brand is committed to societal sustainability, aiming to keep this vital institution relevant as fewer young people are entering the hawker trade.

Sudu.sg

“I have never been so clear headed in the direction I want to go. The fire and passion is so immense I can feel them in my veins.”

Sudu.sg took shape during the Circuit Breaker when founder Ilya Nur Fadhly started working as a food delivery rider after stepping away from his role as an education consultant. This newfound flexibility led him to audition for MasterChef Singapore, where a pivotal moment in episode 2 sparked his commitment to ModMalay cuisine — a modern reinterpretation of traditional Malay flavours.

Initially launched as a private dining experience, Sudu.sg will be launching ModMalay flavoured butters exclusively at Boutiques Singapore. These include Belacan Butter, infused with the rich umami of dried fermented shrimps; Smoked Sambal Butter, a smoky, slightly spicy blend ideal for seafood; and Kulim Butter, a garlicky spread made without garlic. These butters represent Ilya’s dedication to bringing the vibrant tastes of ModMalay cuisine into more homes.

Runrascals

“Runrascals is my passionate response to seeing my son’s world light up with choices that resonate with him—choices I hope to extend to all children through our brand.”

Runrascals was founded by John Teng, a father who turned his passion for his son’s creativity into an innovative kidswear brand. Inspired by his three-year-old son's love for colourful, expressive clothing, John left his law career to create Runrascals — a brand that empowers children to personalise their outfits. The signature "Sticky Tees" feature a unique faux pocket made from soft nylon loop fabric, allowing kids to swap out interchangeable hook patches and express their changing interests. By allowing children to continually restyle their garments, Runrascals promotes both individuality and an early appreciation for sustainable living.

The Pocket-Sized Design Festival

“Our passion for ‘Making Meaningful Matter’ drives us to nurture, empower, and give back to society through creativity and design.”

After the passing of his father, Dr. Milton Tan, founder of DesignSingapore, Ryan Tan left public service to launch OuterEdit, a platform for global creatives to collaborate through t-shirt designs. Although the t-shirt venture didn’t succeed as a business, it laid the foundation for OuterEdit's evolution into a creative agency, driven by the ethos of "Making Meaningful Matter."

OuterEdit's latest project, The Pocket-Sized Design Festival, is a 160-page, community-driven book designed to inspire local and global communities. Featuring stories from 46 contributors across various creative industries, the book shares personal journeys, lessons, and reflections from industry trailblazers and creative minds. Perfect for anyone with an interest in creativity and community-driven work, this book offers insights for those looking to explore the intersection of art, design, purpose, and impact.

Juicy Parenting

“I help Asian parents drop the cane, stop the yelling, and actually enjoy parenting.”

At The Gifting Edition 2024, Kelly Tay, founder of Juicy Parenting, will be launching her first children's picture book, aimed at helping more families embrace Respectful Parenting. This milestone marks the next step in her mission to guide parents toward a more empathetic and respectful approach to raising children. Kelly, a former journalist and Fulbright Scholar, was driven to develop this method after realising how little guidance parents receive in the most important role of their lives — raising a human being. “It was mind-blowing to me that we go to university to major in a subject, we go to driving school to learn how to drive... but when it comes to parenting, we get zero training,” Kelly says. Leveraging her research skills as a journalist, Kelly began taking professional-level courses on parenting, which led to the creation of her Respectful Parenting approach, an adaptation of traditional methods to better suit the Asian family context. Now, through her new picture book, she hopes to offer more families the tools they need for a nurturing and effective parenting experience.

ANAABU

“Every piece we create serves a meaning and a purpose, rooted in the stories that inspire us.”

Ana Abu, the founder of ANAABU, began her journey in fashion while studying engineering at university. After working in the engineering field for a few years, Ana decided to pursue her calling in fashion and opened a store focusing on pre-loved clothing. Just two years later, she launched ANAABU, a label built on the skills she honed independently in pattern making, fabric sourcing, and managing production.

Today, ANAABU is known for its soft androgyny and minimalist approach. With lines that are for men and women, as well as genderless designs, each piece is crafted with intention and aims to offer styling versatility while honouring tradition by reviving classic designs in modern ways. The Malaysian brand’s collections are deeply rooted in storytelling, drawing inspiration from life, people, and emotions.

At The Gifting Edition 2024, shop ANAABU’s latest collection for men and women, as well as a customisable gifting package that includes easy gift options like socks, notebooks, tote bags, and a water bottle.

Sette

“Sette isn't just about clothing; it's about connection.”

Sette began as a deeply personal journey for its founder, Monica Millington, who found herself navigating a period of profound transformation after the pandemic led to the closure of her previous business. Born and raised in Texas, Monica was inspired by the laid-back sophistication of her Texan roots, which became the foundation for Sette’s designs. In 2023, the birth of her son made Monica realise that familial ties could be celebrated through fashion, and expanded her womenswear line to encompass childrenswear as well. In Monica’s words, “Starting Sette was a leap of faith, but it was driven by a deep belief in the power of doing things differently, with heart and integrity. It's about the skilled Balinese artisans who handcraft our pieces in small batches, ensuring quality and minimising waste. It's about the locally sourced, biodegradable fabrics that honour both the environment and the communities we work with. And it's about our incredible community of women who inspire us every day to keep pushing boundaries and creating something special.”

At The Gifting Edition 2024, shop The Raffles Collection, a range of elevated pyjama sets for the family inspired by the heritage of Singapore's iconic Raffles Hotel, and The Highgrove Collection, inspired by the grace and style of Princess Di and her love for her impeccably dressed children.

Big Kahuna Spirits

“We aim to make significant waves in raising awareness about the urgent need to protect our precious oceans.”

Love the taste of the tropics? At Boutiques Singapore, take a sip of Big Kahuna Spirits, a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic gin set apart by the zesty taste of pineapple. Inspired by the legendary surfer, Duke Kahanamoku, Big Kahuna aims to craft exceptional spirits that embody the Aloha Spirit while also supporting ocean conservation projects. The brand partners with the Coral Reef Alliance, who has tirelessly protected coral reefs particularly in the Caribbean and Hawaii. Their primary focus is shielding these delicate ecosystems from the perils posed by human activities and climate change. Their 700ml Big Kahuna gin or non-alcoholic version 0.0 is an ideal gift for those entertaining this season and also contributes one euro per purchase to the Coral Reef Alliance.
