THE GIFTING EDITION 2017
Boutiques is back with our annual gifting edition on 10-12 November (Friday to Sunday) at the F1 Pit Building. By popular request, the event will be held for three days — a first for Boutiques! The three day shopping extravaganza will be complemented by a host of spectacular fringe activities and workshops to complete the quintessential Boutiques experience.
Traditionally gift-centric with a focus on shopping for loved ones and spoiling yourself, the year-end edition will be our largest — and strongest — yet featuring over 200 independent, design-led labels spanning two floors and 5,000 square metres of retail space. Shop an extensive selection across women’s and men’s fashion and accessories; home and decor; art and gifts; and children’s apparel, toys, and accessories.
We are thrilled to be collaborating with the Textile and Fashion Federation Singapore (Taff) to present Boutiques Edit on level 3 of the F1 Pit Building. The festive Boutiques Edit is a natural extension of level 2’s showcase to raise the profile of local designers within the fashion and design industries.
WORKSHOPS & DEMOS
More than just a shopping event, visitors can pick up new skills by signing up for pottery classes with Center Pottery, block printing workshops with MATTER, knitting workshops by It Takes Balls, and floral arrangement masterclasses with Ask A French Flowers. Registration details will be announced on social media at a later date.
Demonstrations will also be held by bespoke shoemakers, Palola; ethical jewellery line, Covenant Jewellery; handcrafted leather goods brand, Rever Goods; and artisan jewellery label, EDEN+ELIE, at their respective spaces.
CHARITIES & NPOS
Boutiques has a strong history of supporting local charities and social enterprises — over 80% of our vendors are socially conscious businesses. Look out for display signages highlighting brands that practise social responsibility, and support initiatives like BABES Pregnancy Crisis Support, Sanctuary Care, Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics (HOME), Netherlands Charity Association, The Nail Social, and more.
Shoppers can refuel at pop-up coffee carts and dedicated cafes by Liberty Coffee, Tripod Coffee, Arrow Coffee, and The Whole Kitchen. There will also be a pop-up wine bar by Pop Up Wines and a fully-stocked bar of fine spirits by EC Proof. Join us over the weekend for free tasting sessions and happy hour rates.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR KIDS
Sponsored by The Children’s Showcase, our dedicated play area always delivers with its foosball table, drawing and reading supplies, building blocks, and stuffed animals to keep kids busy while parents check off their shopping lists. Join us over the weekend for face painting and ballon sculpting activities at the play area, or catch storytelling sessions of Monty Bear‘s adventures around the world over at Monty’s space.
Kids can also pop by Scribolo throughout the three-day event to colour in its giant roll-out colouring poster featuring icons and landmarks of Singapore.
Need a break from the crowds? Head upstairs to level 3 where you’ll find a dedicated cafe space by Violet Oon Singapore serving signature delights like Dry Laksa and Nasi Lemak. Lounge around in Scandi-vintage furniture by Möbler and refuel with a cuppa from the Nordic Coffee Bar by Liberty Coffee, take a shopping breather with an art exhibition hosted by Supermama, order up a glass of vino from Pop Up Wine, snack on sweets by Sunday Folks, and meet more independent designers in the expanded area.
